🔑 A BIG THANK YOU FROM GYMPIE MASTER LOCKSMITHS! 🔑

A huge thank you to everyone who dropped into the shop, handed in a resume and took the time to apply for our locksmith apprenticeship. We really appreciate the effort and interest!

It’s been an extremely busy time for the team, and with staff numbers stretched, things will remain busy into next week while Adam, the man who helps keep everything organised for Stewart, takes some time off. We wish him all the best and look forward to welcoming him back into the fold!

👏 A special shoutout to Alex! Alex has been going above and beyond, powering through the workload, often starting early and finishing late. Your dedication and hard work haven’t gone unnoticed, mate. You’re an absolute legend, and we’re very grateful to have you on the team!

🔑 Jack, keep an eye on your phone! You can expect a call from us soon regarding the next step in the apprenticeship process.

Thanks again to everyone for your patience and support.

Have a fantastic weekend from all of us at Gympie Master Locksmiths! 😊

Is your key getting harder to turn? Don’t force it! 🔐

Have you noticed your key sticking, your lock feeling stiff, or needing a little extra jiggling to get the door open?

It might be tempting to give the key a bit more muscle, but forcing it can cause the key to bend or break inside the lock — turning a small problem into a much bigger inconvenience!

🏡 Here are 3 things to remember:

✅ Check that you’re using the correct key and that it isn’t bent or damaged.
✅ Avoid forcing a stiff key or lock.
✅ Have a persistent problem checked before the lock stops working altogether.

A little attention now can save you from an unexpected lockout later!

Need help with a stubborn lock? Contact Gympie Master Locksmiths on 📞 0477 003 726.

Moved into a new place recently? Get the locks rekeyed.

You never know how many keys the previous owners, tenants or tradies still have. Rekeying changes the lock so old keys stop working, and it's usually cheaper than replacing the whole lock.

🔐 A quick reminder for landlords and property managers

Before a new tenant moves in, it’s a good idea to check that all locks, keys, window locks and garage or shed locks are working properly. You may also want to consider changing or rekeying locks so you know exactly who has access to the property.

Practical takeaway: when keys have changed hands over time, you may not know how many copies are still out there. A security check before a new tenancy can provide extra peace of mind.

For trusted local locksmith services, contact Gympie Master Locksmiths on 0477 003 726.

Because “I think the old tenant returned all the keys” isn’t quite the same as knowing for sure! 🔑🏡

🔑 Don’t wait until you’re locked out to check your spare key!

Many people keep a spare key hidden outside, but obvious hiding spots can make it easy for the wrong person to find. Under the doormat, in a pot plant or on top of the door frame may seem convenient — but they’re also the first places someone may look.

A better option is to leave a spare key with a trusted family member or neighbour, or consider having a secure alternative arranged for your home.

Practical takeaway: check where your spare keys are kept and make sure they’re stored somewhere safe, secure and known only to people you trust.

If you need help with your home’s locks or security, contact Gympie Master Locksmiths on 0477 003 726.

Because a spare key should help you get in — not help someone else get in! 🏡🔐

We do apologise for any inconvenience caused to our valued customers today. We are running on skeleton staff and they are bending over backwards to get to everyone.
Hopefully things will be better tomorrow.
Fingers crossed we have more employees in the near future.
We are working hard to achieve that goal and it is not any easy one these days.
