Here's an example of the importance of updating your home's switchboard to include RCD protection!

This customer had LIVE! wiring in their house deteriorating due to a water leak and age, exposing the live copper and causing a HUGE fire hazard.

Without RCD protection on your home's electrical wiring, these sort of issues can cause fires or get somebody electrocuted.
