What a crazy month for everybody with the reduction of rebates from 1 May. The month of April tested pretty much everybody in the solar industry. Manufacturers, distributors, transport, wholesalers, and at the end of all that installers.

We took on a boatload of work during this period and we’re able to complete a 95+ percent of it , and that was working on seven days, and they were long, long days.

We’re a company that’s built on local trust in the solar and battery sector, and we continually seek to get better at everything we do and to continue to support the people of Newcastle and the hunter with honest advice and fairdinkum service. David in Merewether has a pool, runs the AC alot and so has a high constant base load power draw from the grid. AKA he has big electricity bills.

So we hooked him up with a mammoth 12kw solar array and a 48kw/h Goodwe ESA energy storage system with full home blackout.

He hasn't touched the grid since install, and has been able to store every drop of power the solar produces into the battery and then he uses that power during the night and on cloudy days.

Not everyone needs a 48 kw/h battery stack, in fact 16-24 will suffice most people in reducing their power bills by over 95%.

But I will tell you exactly what everyone does need - and that is quality products, backed by a quality installation. If you're products need to be warranted for 10-25 years - how is that possible without either of those components.

Why would anyone choose an out-of-town company for a local job?

Because the out of town company is cheaper. They’re cheaper because they use cheaper products, and their labour is cheaper. So the price naturally is also cheaper. But the product is also cheaper.

So it’s not really just a cheaper product is it it’s an actual different product. A totally different product.

When it comes to solar power and especially batteries, it needs to be done right. They have to be warranted for a long time, and if you rely on a warranty anyway, by one of these out of town companies, then highly likely they won’t be around to warrant it. So you’ll be left with the system that fails in a few years time with nowhere to go, and then after that, you’ll realise the value that a local company will provide.
