Our Caves Beach new build is at lock up stage and getting all the bells and whistles installed. Some lovely detailing by Fusion Building Solutions with natural materials responsibly sourced and thoughtfully placed.

Another alteration and addition project in Tighes Hill is taking shape. This project allows the generous North facing living zone to open onto the backyard and the stairwell forms a first floor study. Great views and great spot to work from home too.
The most important decisions are made early in the design process, before you submit any plans to Council. If you get those decisions right, the later ones are easy because they have a framework to relate to.

Happy Winter Solstice for yesterday. It is a key date for architects when considering how a building accepts the sun in during the colder months. Here is a typical simulation for the midday sun on the Winter Solstice for a granny flat we are finalising for the construction phase. Nice and toasty!

This is our latest project in Tighes Hill and the owners are in discussions with a builder to ensure the construction is within their budget. It is wise to go to those lengths before applying to Council so there are no surprises once the DA is approved. This one is shaping up nicely!

We are getting ready to submit a DA for our new Islington Project . Here are some renders of the architecture the clients are aiming for. Will be a lovely sunny place to live!

When the building site is being swept up, you know they are close to finishing. The Adamstown renovation/restoration is now on the home straight. A lovely mix of new fixtures and reuse of the old makes this multi generational home fit for purpose and for fun.

Our Adamstown project is fast approaching completion and I know the clients are excited about moving back. The challenge with blending the old and new fittings and fixtures was expertly handled by Caroline Dando. She has such a good eye for these things.

It was great to catch up with the owners of the New Lambton project last light and see how they have landscaped both front and back yards. Just a few finishing touches to go, and they can sit back and enjoy their forever home. Congratulations!
