Hampton Mowerpower is a long-standing local Bayside business, proudly supporting Hampton, Bayside and surrounding Melbourne communities with outdoor power equipment sales, service and repairs.
We are an approved retail and service centre for trusted brands including Honda, Husqvarna, Masport, Victa, Echo, Shindaiwa, Billy Goat, Wolf-Garten and more.
We are looking for a friendly and reliable person to join our team. This role would suit someone local to the Bayside area, including mature-aged applicants, semi-retired people, or anyone who enjoys helping customers and working in a hands-on local business environment.
# # About the Role
As a Sales Assistant / Store Helper, you will help customers in-store, support daily shop operations, and assist the team with product enquiries, sales, stock control and general customer service.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys talking with people, has an interest in tools, gardening, machinery or outdoor equipment, and wants to be part of a friendly local team.
# # Key Responsibilities
* Greeting and assisting customers in-store
* Helping customers with product enquiries and basic recommendations
* Processing sales through the POS system
* Answering phone enquiries when required
* Assisting with stock control, stocktaking and shelf presentation
* Helping keep the showroom clean, organised and well presented
* Supporting the team with general daily store tasks
Desired Skills and Experience
* Friendly attitude and good customer service skills
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Reliable, punctual and willing to learn
* Basic computer and internet search skills
* Basic POS/cash register experience preferred, but not essential
* Ability to work well in a team environment
* Basic knowledge of garden equipment, tools or small engines is helpful, but not essential
* Local Bayside applicants are encouraged to apply
