Our 100m2 project from the start of the year, this one had a bit of everything happening during the job, 40 degree days, bush fires, burst pipes , machine break downs - the list goes on, but as with all our projects we pushed through and delivered another beautiful outdoor area for our clients 👊

Kangaroo flat project wrapped up last week.
Complete new subframe, new balustrades, on a Eko deck designer series alpine ash board, V***r seal joist protection on steel stumps, this one is here to last!

Another fun little jetty project we had the chance to be part of. Built out over a dam with the house looking straight across it, this one was always going to be a special spot to sit back and enjoy.

We coated the full frame in bitumen paint, used stainless steel fixings throughout, and finished it off with Victorian Silvertop Ash decking.

Really happy with how this one turned out, and even better, the clients were just as wrapped with the end result.

This was one of our personal favourites with our amazing clients!. From a rotted out old decking area to a custom multi-level space built for entertaining.

The clients came to us with a sketch and an inspiration photo of what they had in mind, and we brought it to life. Turning their ideas into a practical and eye-catching outdoor area that suits the home perfectly.

The new tiered design creates better access, more usable space, and plenty of room to relax or entertain family and friends.

A ripper transformation and one we’re proud to put our name on.

Olympic Parade project all wrapped up.

This one came together nicely, featuring EKODECK composite decking installed on a H4 subframe paired with an open pergola to create a simple, usable outdoor space.

One of the key parts of this build was working around two existing plants that held sentimental value to the clients. Instead of removing them, we built the deck in around them so they could stay part of the space.

Details like that always matter.

Ever wondered where the name came from? Alken Built is a blend of our two daughters’ names. A.L. - the initials of our eldest. Ken - taken from the middle of our youngest’s name. Put them together and you’ve got something worth building. Every job we do is for them. Crafted to last.

It’s the little things that make these spaces last.

Stainless steel wire balustrade with high quality hardware so it won’t rust or loose tension over the years. A neat little breakfast bench where morning coffee’s can be had overlooking the amazing view
Simple hardwood deck and pergola, but done with care where it counts.

Nothing flashy, just built properly.
