It frustrates me to see some solar installers prioritizing quick installations over the quality of the finished product, just to get paid. Many fly-by-night operations are compromising standards just to get systems up and running.

We just completed the installation of a 30 kW Dyness battery solution with an 8 kW hybrid inverter powered by 11.4 kw of solar on a single-phase supply. This setup will enable the property to operate practically off-grid, with peace of mind that the lights will still shine, the fridge will stay cold, and the house will function during a total grid outage.

Check this thing out. My wife has just bought this filter that has a massive pre filter then a heppa filter ( big car air filter) then a charcole filter and if there's any bugs left eg airborne virus, cold or whatever particles, the UV Light takes care of the rest. Perfect for not only airborne germ control in a shop but keeps the house air quality a bit cleaner. We just upgraded from the previous model which saved us during the bushfires with the endless days of smoke. If your interested in getting one of these please message me here and Nicole will get back to you.

One of the sweetest jobs iv had to do. A swarm had taken permant residence inside this switchboard and was hard at work when I arrived to sort a faulty pump out. I rehoused the hive into a proper box and sealed the entrances up so the bee's couldn't return. Puts a new meaning to the term for all you sparkies out there (live "buzz bar" or bus bar).

Tip to improve your solar system output:

I just had a customer that had a solar system underperforming. It was a 5kw system with 20 panels on the roof. The output was 3.4kw when i arrived. I inspected the roof and found the panels were covered in a few seasons of dust which had been set with dew and rain on the glass surface.

I cleaned the panels down with a hose and soft broom as its the best way to scrub the panels as any body weight can crack them and mere hosing from the ground will not do much either.

The performance of the cleaned system was instant and improved from 3.4 kw to 4.6kw. My advice is to get your system checked and serviced by a competent person and please be safe when doing so.

Secondly if you want to maximise your savings from your solar system have a look at what you have running at your house. Consider timers for things like deep freezers and pool pumps. This is called load shifting. Set the timer to shut your freezer off for about 6 hours a night. Fridges and freezers have a duty cycle with a power surge every time the motor starts so less duty cycle starts means less power used. Check it towards the end of the shut off period to make sure it's not defrosting for peace of mind and shorten cycle if needed. Run appliances like your dishwasher and washing machine during the day also will maximise your solar usage.

We have a water cooler, a deep freezer and a beer fridge running on timers which shut off at approximately 2am and cut on around 7am. Secondly our electric solar hot water system which used to run on off peak electricity is also set on a timer. It cuts in at 10am and shuts off around 6pm. My wife likes her morning shower so i have had to run it from 5am before the sun rises till about 7 so i don't get into trouble for her having a cold shower.

Instead of paying 35 plus cents a kw hour at night load shift these appliances to the day when your solar system is sending excess power back to the grid at a mere 6 to 12 cents.

Shutting them down for part of the night by use of timers etc will reduce your power bill and improve your bank balance.

Hope this helps you out.
