Grease trap removal — Oakville NSW

As part of installing a new AWTS on this Oakville property, we removed an old, redundant grease trap.

A functioning AWTS doesn't need one, since the system's primary chamber already handles fats and greases as part of its normal operation.

With the right equipment already onsite, it was an easy addition to the scope of works.

Tank upgrade complete — Cattai 💧

Out at Cattai, NSW, we removed an old rainwater tank and installed two new 22,500L poly tanks in its place — nearly doubling storage capacity and giving this property a fresh, reliable water supply for years to come.

Poly tanks are a great option for durability and low maintenance, and going with two tanks instead of one gives extra redundancy and flexibility for how the water's used on site.

Grease trap removal — Oakville 🔧

While onsite installing a new AWTS for this Oakville property, we also removed an old grease trap that was no longer needed.

With a properly functioning AWTS in place, fats and greases are already separated out as part of the system's normal treatment process, making a standalone trap redundant.

Since we were already onsite with the right gear, it made sense to knock it out as part of the same job — one less obsolete fixture on the property.

Rectification works complete — Kenthurst 🚧➡️✅

This Kenthurst property was under a Council order after its absorption trench failed — and with the site sitting close to Dooral Dooral Creek, getting it fixed properly mattered even more.

Absorption trenches use soil, microbes, and plants to naturally treat and dispose of wastewater, so a failure in a sensitive area like this can quickly become an environmental concern.

Our crew installed a new 1m wide by 32m long absorption trench, and we captured the whole process in this timelapse — from excavation through to the finished install.

📸 Swipe through to see the job from start to finish — decommissioning the failing mound system and replacing it with a new 10,000L concrete holding tank for a septic pump-out system.

We dug out and pumped down the old mound, installed the new concrete holding tank, backfilled, levelled the site, and finished with 100m2 of fresh turf — leaving the property looking as good as new.

Take a look through this completed install at a property in Oakville, NSW! We supplied and installed a BIOSeptic AU S10 Aerated Wastewater Treatment System (AWTS) — a 10-person capacity, concrete, NSW Health approved system, built to handle real household demand while protecting the local environment.

This property backs onto McKenzies Creek, so environmental protection was front of mind on this install. We exceeded the required buffer distances from the waterway, giving extra peace of mind that the system won't impact the creek or surrounding land.

Unlike a standard septic system, this AWTS aerates and treats wastewater to a secondary treated standard, meaning cleaner, safer outflow — critical when you're this close to a natural waterway.
