POSITION AVAILABLE: KOALA SPOTTER - Green Traingle/ South West
Hazelwood Forestry is seeking a reliable and motivated person to join our crew of koala spotters in the Green Triangle - South West Victoria. You will be responsible for identifying koalas in trees within plantations prior to harvesting and communicating their location to machinery operators on-site to ensure their safety.
The successful applicant will:
- Be reliable & accountable
- Be physically fit
- Have excellent communication skills
- Have a passion for wildlife
- Own, and be competent with the use of a smartphone, apps and email
- Follow all OH&S procedures
Essential Criteria:
- Current drivers licence
- Reliable transport
- Smartphone
This work is outdoors and occurs in all weather conditions
Rates - Adult, (Casual): $36.28/hr, Plus travel & loadings where applicable.
Work locations are within the Green Triangle region in South-West Victoria- Please do not apply if you are not local to, or setup with accommodation options in this region.
Hours vary, and afternoon or night shifts are sometimes required, but hours are most commonly between 5am-5pm Mon-Fri, Some weekend work
Previous experience or industry knowledge well regarded but not essential.
