Alder is proud to have delivered the upgrade of the Stotts Creek Resource Recovery Centre, supporting Tweed Shire Council’s long-term waste and recycling strategy.

Completed within a live operational environment, the project required careful staging to maintain uninterrupted access to the landfill and surrounding facilities — while managing environmental considerations including landfill gas and stormwater systems.

The upgrade introduces improved transfer and recovery infrastructure, including a new waste and recycling station and site upgrades designed to enhance efficiency, access and day-to-day usability.

A key outcome of the project is improved material recovery on site — with covered drop-off areas helping divert an estimated 134 tonnes of waste from landfill each year.

For our team, the project reflects the value of practical, well-coordinated delivery in complex environments, where maintaining operations is just as critical as the build itself.

We value our ongoing partnership with Tweed Shire Council and look forward to continuing to support infrastructure outcomes across the region.

Great to see these bibs out on the field!

On any given Saturday morning, around 50 children will be running around in them—building skills, confidence and a love for the game. Supporting local clubs that our team are part of is something we’re incredibly proud of, because strong communities start from the ground up.

It also holds special meaning for us, having delivered the refurbishment and upgrade of the Gold Coast Hockey Centre ahead of the 2018 Commonwealth Games. Our building and civil teams worked together to deliver a new clubhouse, refurbish the existing facilities, and construct FIH world-standard hockey pitches.

It is great to see the next generation making the most of it as we head towards the Brisbane 2032 Olympics!

A stylish shout out to our LHC Junior Stix uniform corporate partners Alder Group and Sam O'Connor MP for supporting our new playing bibs. They were debuted last Saturday and the kids loved playing in them! They also looked impressive in team photos!

We recently had the pleasure of hosting a thank you event to celebrate the completion of our works at Grande Florida and Victoria Square.

These events are an opportunity for us to show our appreciation to the Client and residents for their ongoing support, patience, and collaboration throughout the construction process. Delivering projects in live environments is always a team effort, and it was great to come together and celebrate the completion of the works.

At Grande Florida, works included an external refurbishment featuring fascia and gutter replacement, repairs and a full repaint of the external walls and roof tiles, as well as the replacement of BBQ roof structures.

At Victoria Square, the project involved a comprehensive podium refurbishment, including waterproofing, swimming pool and spa resurfacing, construction of a new suspended deck, repainting, and the installation of a new shade structure.

Students from St Joseph’s Nudgee College got hands-on with:

We’re excited to share the completion of Oakleigh State School’s new multi-purpose hall, carpark and external works – built with students, staff and the broader school community in mind.

Delivered over three stages, the project includes:
