Earlier this year, in celebration of International Women’s Day 2026, Civmec proudly launched the inaugural Balance the Scales: Women in Paint and Blast program, an initiative crafted to increase female participation in trade-based roles. Delivered in our Paint and Blast facilities right here in Henderson, this 12-month paid program offers hands-on training and operational experience for women seeking to develop technical skills, grow in confidence, and boost their industry capability.
What truly sets this program apart is its connection to our local community. By investing in local jobs and supporting our local workforce, we’re helping to build a stronger local industry. It’s not just about opening doors for women, but about fostering long-term, meaningful career pathways that make a difference.
We are pleased to announce that the Balance the Scales: Women in Paint and Blast has officially commenced, with our new starters now onboard. Over the next year, these three participants will team up with Civmec’s leading Paint and Blast professionals, gaining industry relevant skills and formal qualifications that open doors across all our sectors including Defence, Infrastructure, Resources, and Energy.
We are incredibly proud to see this initiative increasing female participation and strengthening diversity in our workforce. Looking ahead, we’re excited to see the positive impact these new recruits will have.
Civmec continues to offer a broad range of career and training opportunities, providing pathways for people at all stages to build long-term, rewarding careers with us. Please check out our current vacancies here:
