On Tuesday, an urgent call came through to KAG Enterprises Tree Services to address a severely damaged macrocarpa pine affected by a recent storm. The tree popsed a significant threat to the surrounding area, as one of its main branches had been snapped and was left perilously dangling from the trunk.
Our team of qualified arborists, promptly assessed the situation. Using a rope and pulley system, they carefully rigged the damaged tree, ensuring stable support for the branches. The EWP enabled our team to access the heights of the tree, from where the broken limbs were removed with caution, prioritizing the safety of the area and the preservation of the tree.

The operation was not only about addressing the immediate danger; it was equally focused on ensuring the tree's longevity.

Moving forward, over the course of the following week, work will continue to prune additional branches, aiming to reduce the tree's height without compromising its aesthetic appeal.

Tasmania SES is encouraging people to be prepared and informed with the potential for damaging and locally destructive winds to hit the state this week.
🍃 The severe weather is expected to develop early Tuesday morning and may continue throughout the week.
💨 The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a Severe Weather Warning for statewide damaging winds, with the potential for locally destructive winds.
🎐 Wind gusts around 100 km/h are possible in the north, with gusts around 110 km forecast for the rest of the state.
🌳 The combination of high soil moisture and damaging to destructive wind speeds increases the chances of trees being brought down.
⬆️ From Tuesday morning wind gusts are likely to reach around 125 km/h in elevated terrain and parts of the east coast between Swansea and Orford, before easing later in the evening.
👀 Although winds may ease at times, we encourage the community to remain vigilant, as the wind and developing rain conditions will likely continue throughout this week.
