AILA TAS has announced the 2025 Landscape Architecture Award winners!

The AILA TAS Chapter held its annual awards at Hobart’s Brickworks on Friday 27 June. The recipient of the night’s most coveted accolade, the Award of Excellence, was Inspiring Place Pty Ltd whose design for 24 Carrot Gardens wowed the Jury in its category of Community Contribution. Located in Bridgewater, 24 Carrot Gardens is a food education program that acts as a ‘living classroom’ where students are immersed in hands-on gardening and food production.

Congratulations to the winners and nominees!

Recipients of Awards of Excellence, Landscape Architecture Awards, the Climate Positive Design and Regional Achievement Awards will now progress to the 2025 AILA National Landscape Architecture Awards, to be announced in Nipaluna/Hobart on Tuesday 21 October 2025.

Clifton Beach House gets its pretty plants! Looking forward to this one maturing with the lovely white wisteria over pergola and all the pretty grasses and flowers filling the beds, we even matched a flower colour to the very awesome clients very cool couch!

Brighton town square now open to the public, a space for community to come together and designed around the concept of a watering hole, where everyone comes to gather, critters and humans alike. Dark sky friendly lighting, water play, spaces for seating and lawn lounging and a creative way to add skate deterrents without the space losing its fun and a relaxing porch swing!! Beautifully constructed by SLS Landscapes and with the trust and support from Brighton Council

The design is based on a watering hole with a central water play rill, and artwork of local fauna all coming to gather and enjoy life. Beautiful dark sky friendly catenary lighting, shade umbrellas, a porch swing seat, a lounging lawn and gardens and fun furniture still to come.....
