📣📣 PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT 📣📣

Flexi hoses connect your fixtures such as your basin, kitchen sink or your laundry trough, to your water supply. We cannot stress enough the importance of periodically checking these.

We had attended a job to repair some leaking taps for a lovely customer and found the cold hose to have rusted through the stainless steel braid, exposing the rubber hose and essentially creating a ticking time bomb, with the hot hose starting to do the same!

After a quick swap out with some new pex hoses we had our customer back on track and saved from an inevitable catastrophe.

✅ Periodically check hoses once every 3 months

❌ Any signs of rust, bulging, corrosion or if they’ve been kinked it’s time to get them swapped out.

❌ Older style rubber hoses have a life span of around 5-7 years. These can be determined by how easily the hose can be manipulated. If you know they’re past their used by date, it’s time for a change.
