A comprehensive CCTV inspection of the property's sewer drainage system was conducted following reports of ongoing drainage issues and concerns regarding structural movement within the dwelling.

During the inspection, a major dislodgement was identified within the main sewer line beneath the property. The displacement of the pipework has resulted in a significant loss of line integrity, causing wastewater to escape into the surrounding ground. Evidence observed during the inspection indicates that this defect has likely been present for an extended period and has contributed to excessive erosion and washout of the supporting ground material beneath the house slab.

The loss of foundation support caused by the escaping wastewater has the potential to result in differential movement and settlement of the slab, which may explain the structural damage and movement currently evident throughout the property.

Further investigation revealed a broken sewer junction connection within the affected section of pipework. The damaged junction has allowed substantial tree root intrusion into the sewer line. Extensive root masses were observed throughout the pipeline, restricting flow, trapping debris, and contributing to ongoing blockages and further deterioration of the pipe structure.

Excavated and repaired damaged sewer line in Tarneit following an overflowing sewer issue. Works included locating the blockage/fault, safely excavating the affected section, removing damaged pipework, carrying out necessary sewer repairs/replacement, testing flow and reinstating the sewer system back to full functional operation. Site was backfilled and left clean and safe upon completion!

Stormwater drain grate located at the underground carpark entrance in Point Cook was found obstructed with accumulated debris and sediment, restricting the effective flow of stormwater runoff. The blockage was causing water ponding at the entry ramp and increasing the risk of flooding and slip hazards within the carpark access area. The drain grate and surrounding pit were cleared to restore proper drainage function and maintain safe vehicle and pedestrian access.

We attended a severely blocked drain and quickly identified the cause as an extensive tree root intrusion. Using specialised equipment, we carefully extracted a thick, solid root measuring over one metre in length that had penetrated deep into the pipework. The root had completely restricted water flow, leading to the blockage. Once removed, we thoroughly cleared the line and restored the drain to full working order, ensuring smooth and reliable flow again.
