If the engine misfires for a prolonged period of time, the exhaust could get hotter than normal and melt a retention clip that supports the rear brake line increasing the risk of brake line damage.

If the rear brake line becomes damaged, the rear brakes may fail and cause an accident.

On certain 2016 and 2017 Model X with fold-flat second row seats, the left-side fold-flat second row seat may have a misadjusted cable that controls the recliner mechanisms. These seats have integrated 3-point safety belts, and seats in this condition may not fully comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards 207/210.

On affected vehicles, the second row left seat contains two recliner mechanisms. These two recliners are released by cables that include in-line cable length adjusters. During seat assembly, recliner cable adjustment may have been set when the recliners were not fully latched. If this occurred, the resulting cable adjustment could be too tight, preventing one of the recliners from fully latching.

If this condition were to occur, the seat back may move forward during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

Tesla will email (and/or call) owners of affected cars. Owners will be requested to visit a Tesla Service Centre for a vehicle inspection and adjustment of the cable that controls the recliner mechanism of the left-side fold flat second row seat, if required. The inspection and adjustment will be carried out free of charge.

A potentially defective transmission countershaft 5th gear, which is used for engaging 3rd gear, may break under certain riding conditions.

If the countershaft 5th gear breaks, the transmission can seize and cause the rear wheel to lock and may cause the rider to lose control and/or crash.

Consumers are advised to contact the nearest Honda Motorcycle Dealer and arrange to have the countermeasure part installed.
