INVERELL FORD RACING with JCRE is back!
We're running two cars in this weekend's Circuit Excel Nationals at our home track - The Bend - with Asher Johnston and Jack Boyd teaming up in a two-car team that looks absolutely spectacular and hopefully goes just as quickly.
With the support of Inverell Ford, the Tatts Hotel Inverell and the Randall Group Construction & Management, the weekend culminates in a massive 40-minute feature on Sunday - dubbed by some the 'Excel World Championship'.
It's going to be a massive weekend and it's great to be on track - here's what the boys had to say.
ASHER:
"It’s great to be back in the Excel, racing nationally again. It’s effectively the same team we had for our tilt in 2019, with the addition of Jack in other car. It’s already been productive, we had a good test day together, and quite a lot of work behind the scenes on both cars. We didn't touch ours for almost 2 years until December last year, and everyone has caught up quite a lot in that time.
"Having 2 cars has sped the development process up, hopefully it’ll be enough to keep us at the pointy end. It’s also awesome to have Team Inverell, lead by Ben at Inverell Ford, behind us. Having them stand by us after all the drama from the previous category means a lot."
JACK:
"Looking forward to my solo excel debut at the Nationals this weekend. A huge thanks to Ben at Inverell Ford for trusting me with his car and the entire crew for the countless hours helping bring me up to speed. Hopefully the 18 & 38 will be right up there!"
BEN:
"I’m incredibly proud of what this group have been able to pull together at short notice, from sourcing the right second car, designing the liveries, pulling together an amazing sponsor group to now launching our two car assault at the Excel Nationals.
"Asher, Jack, Chris, Glenn, Simon and the rest of the support crew have done brilliantly to prepare both cars for this weekend and I can’t wait to get back behind the wheel of car 46 at round 2 for my first drive in the new car. The Inverell crew are looking forward to seeing cars 18 & 38 running at the front at the Nationals."
