PINK DAY ON THE TOOLS IS COMING! 🎀

For one day this October, the LES navy comes off and the pink goes on as our crews head out to work in support of breast cancer research.

This will be our third year getting behind the cause, and once again we’d love the support of our customers, suppliers, friends and wider community.

The reason we keep doing it is important. Nine Australians lose their lives to breast cancer every day, and the National Breast Cancer Foundation receives no government funding — making community fundraising incredibly valuable to the research it supports. PINK DAY ON THE TOOLS IS COMING…

Whether you make a donation, contribute a raffle prize or simply share our post to help spread the word, it all helps.

Sounds like plenty of time… until suddenly it isn’t.

Daylight saving is nearly here… which means summer isn’t far behind. ☀️

As the clocks go forward, it’s a pretty good reminder to make sure your air conditioner is ready for the warmer weather too.

Three years running, and we’re going pink again. 🎀

This October, our crews will be swapping the usual navy for pink and spending a day on the tools to help raise funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

We’ll also be getting the team together for our annual Pink Ribbon Breakfast — all in support of breast cancer research into better detection, prevention and treatment.

It’s a cause we continue to get behind because breast cancer affects far too many Australian families. Every day, 56 people in Australia are diagnosed with breast cancer, and more than 3,300 Australians lose their lives to the disease each year.

For the past three years, every dollar we’ve raised has gone towards supporting this important research — and we’d love your help to make another difference this October.

A massive thank you to everyone who has donated, shared and supported our pink day over the years. Every contribution counts. 🩷

⭐️ 50 SENIOR GAMES! ⭐️

A huge congratulations to our very own George Davies, who recently notched up his 50th senior appearance for the Scottsdale Football Club. 🖤🤍

Fifty senior games is a fantastic achievement — and one George has certainly earned.

A genuine target inside 50, George turns up each week ready to present hard and compete for every contest. Add in the regular trip from Launceston for training and game day, and there’s no questioning his commitment to the club.

There’s a bit of family history behind the milestone too, with George following in the footsteps of his dad Brad, who also played senior football for the Magpies.

We love celebrating what our team achieves away from the tools as much as what they accomplish on the job.

Congratulations on the 50, George — a brilliant milestone and hopefully plenty more games to come! 👏

Happy Father’s Day from all of us at LES. 🖤

Some things are learnt on the job.

Others start much earlier — usually with a dad handing you a torch, showing you how something works, or teaching you which wire you definitely shouldn’t touch. ⚡😅

Today we’re celebrating all the dads across our LES crews, the dads who helped shape them into the people they are today, and all the fathers and father figures throughout our community.

Thanks for the lessons, the advice, the questionable dad jokes and for always being there when it matters.

We hope you get to put the tools down, spend some time with the people who matter and enjoy your day.
