TRC is looking for a Trail Builder to join the crew.

Based in Jindabyne, this casual role offers ongoing work on mountain bike and walking trail projects across the Snowy Mountains and beyond.

Mountain bikers are encouraged to apply — a passion for riding and understanding what makes a great trail is highly valued.

Experience in trail building, construction, landscaping, or outdoor work is highly regarded, but we’re also keen to hear from motivated people who are willing to learn and enjoy working outdoors.

What you’ll need:

✔ Teamwork skills

New sections of Trail #21 are starting to take shape as part of the Tyrolean Trail Network upgrades with

This black tech trail is tucked into one of the best pockets of bush above Jindabyne, combining rock, flow, and natural terrain through the granite landscape.

The goal of the upgrades is to improve progression, ride quality, and long-term trail sustainability while keeping the raw character of the landscape intact.

New features, fresh shaping, and a proper mix of technical riding are starting to come together out here.

Hard to beat mornings like these.

What’s been happening out at the Tyrolean? 👀

Nick gives a quick overview of the current trail network upgrades and the bigger vision behind the project.

Spanning approximately 30km of trail works, the project includes 20km of upgrades to existing trail and 10km of brand-new trail construction throughout the Jindabyne network.

The works focus on improving trail flow, climbing connections, sustainability, and the overall trail experience — creating something that will benefit both locals and visitors for years to come while protecting the landscape it runs through.

Stonework designed to slow erosion, improve durability, and blend naturally into the alpine environment of the Dead Horse Gap Walking Track in Kosciuszko National Park.

The latest upgrades combine hand-finished stonework, drainage improvements, and durable tread construction to create a safer and more sustainable alpine walking experience.

Built to withstand harsh mountain conditions and growing tourism while preserving the natural character of the surrounding environment. Projects like this focus on creating long-term sustainable access through sensitive terrain with minimal visual impact.
