Happy to be supporting this great college and their trip to Turkey
We took some time this week to reflect on all the different things we have done this term - signing up for this trip definitely involves a lot more than just getting on a plane and touring around overseas!
Our activities have included:
* Attending Vietnam Veterans Day ceremonies at Inglewood and the Shrine of Remembrance
* Interviewing Vietnam veterans, Ian Anderson, Keith Hocking, Mal Gilmour and Dr Rob Webster
* Lunchtime talks by Mrs Therese Phillips and Mrs Sarah Clare
* Talks to the Inglewood & Bridgewater RSL and the Boort RSL
* Judging the artwork for the Living in the Loddon calendar
We have also been doing lots of fundraising:
* Selling raffle tickets at the Inglewood FNC gates
* Lion King movie fundraiser
* Pie drive
* Selling raffle tickets at the Bears Lagoon Serpentine FNC gates
* Danger Close movie fundraiser
* BBQ at Supa IGA Eaglehawk
* Cadbury Chocolate drive
* Jolly Socks drive
* Approaching businesses in Bendigo and Echuca for sponsorship
Thanks to everyone that has supported our fundraising - we have raised just over $16 500 so far!!
Next term is looking to be just as busy with more of a focus on Turkey and the Gallipoli campaign. I think we are all glad to be having a couple of weeks break for now!
