Hi Everyone.

Just an update for our US customers.
Australia Post has announced that it will resume service to the US starting on Monday 22nd September, this is good news, However, please be aware that there are now significant changes in how things will have to be done.
Due to the new regulations put in place by the US Government with the suspension of the de-minimis exceptions, they are demanding that all duties, fees and taxes be prepaid prior to the parcel landing in the US.
To achieve this Australia Post has partnered with Zonos who are a cross-border e-commerce platform that provides software and services for businesses to handle international shipping, including calculating duties and taxes, managing customs compliance, and processing payments for global customers.
This is the same company that the UK Royal Mail and Canada Post are using for example.
For some context: I and every other small business are having to set up accounts with Zonos to enable shipments to be handled as DDP shipping or Delivered Duty Paid. This is is an Incoterm where the seller assumes full responsibility and costs for transporting goods to the buyer's specified destination, including all risks, shipping fees, customs duties, and import taxes. This arrangement provides a seamless, "all-inclusive" experience for the buyer, who simply pays a fixed price and takes possession of the goods at the destination.
While ideal for buyers seeking a hassle-free process, it does shift additional work, significant risk and complexity onto the seller.

In a nut shell, what this means is that the total additional cost to the listed item prices will be +13.3%.
I understand that this is maybe too much for some, but it is totally out with my control, I wish nothing was changed.
To help as much as I can, I am willing to absorb 3.3% of the added costs meaning for you the customer, the added cost will be 10% only.

As I work to get things sorted out and get ready and set up to resume sending to the US, I would ask that those who are already on the list to please let me know as soon as possible if you are still happy to proceed and stay on the list or would prefer to be removed from the list, this will assist me greatly in moving forward and with planning etc.

Hi Everyone.

***Special Note to US Customers.***

In light of the upcoming suspension of the de-minimis exemptions for good entering the USA which comes in to effect on August 29th, and the lack of clarity around this, a great many (and the list is growing) of the postal services around the world have or are suspending their services for sending parcels to the US.
For this reason I have sadly decided to also suspend selling in to the US for the time being, I do hope that this situation can be resolved sooner rather than later and then we can go back to normal.
In the mean time I will maintain the names on the lists for the Stands and the Scroll Frames in the same order that they were received and when able will resume servicing the list again from the top.
My deepest apologies for this and the inconvenience it may cause, but these are things that are out-with my control.

I do hope we can resume again very soon.

Hi Everyone.

Just a quick post to say that I am still alive and well and working my way through the list.
I saw something the other day where someone said that I hadn't had any activity on here since December last year and she was right, sorry about that., (wow, time flies.)
The wait time on the list is now down to approx 3 - 4 months or so, so a big improvement from the 9 - 10 months that it once was 😁👍
Anyway, hope everyone is well and staying safe and sound.

Hi Everyone.

Just a quick update to let you know that I am still beavering away with the stands and am making good progress with the list.
Thank you so much to everyone for your patronage and patience.
Also, to let those on the list know that the good news is that I will likely be in touch to process the order a little earlier than anticipated, this is because:
a) I have discovered that I had made a small schoolboy error in my spreadsheet for forecasting the wait times 😜
b) I have improved some processes and tooling to help speed things up 😊
c) When their names come up not all ladies are ready to proceed with their orders, so they either move down the list or come off the list all together which moves everyone else up.

I am still busy beavering away making the stands and have caught up with all of the existing paid orders and have now started working on the wait list and am contacting those on the list as their name comes to the top.

Hi Everyone.

This post is to just let everyone know that the popularity of the stands is growing so fast and I want to thank everyone sincerely for their custom and interest.
Unfortunately the demand is now so high that it is a little intimidating and overwhelming to the point where I will have to change the way orders are taken for the time being.
Starting now I will stop taking new orders and will be setting up a 'wait list' instead where I will log the names of future customers in the order that they are received and will then contact them to process their order closer to the time that I can have a stand ready for them.
As above all names will be logged and processed in the order that they are received.
This will allow me to catch up with all of the existing orders and better manage the process without feeling so overwhelmed at the same time.
I appologise if this is disappointing, but rest assured I will continue to make the stands as long as I am able.

Hi Everyone.

I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy.

I just wanted to say thank you very much to all of my customers, the popularity of the stands has been absolutely amazing, it is so gratifying to be able to supply a product that is so well received by the customers and the feedback and support from the stitcher community is also amazing, so thank you all very very much.

Unfortunately and due to recent local government changes on the harvesting of Jarrah (the wood I use to make the stands) the wood is now becoming more difficult to source and of course costs more when I do find it, to enable me to continue making the stands I will have to apply a 6% price increase, I am sorry about this and have kept the increase as low as possible.

This price increase will come in to effect for any new orders placed after today, February 10th, 2023.
