Hello Karratha Community!

While volunteering at our local church this week, we came across something that stopped us in our tracks.

Behind the trees, we found a bag containing clothing and children's toys. It looked as though a mum, and possibly her young daughter, may have spent the night there.

Not every lawn we work on is a paying job—and we're okay with that 🥰

This week we had the privilege of donating our time, equipment and products to rejuvenate our local church lawn area that had been well overdue for some care.

After a full core aeration, dethatching, retic repairs and fertiliser treatment, the lawn is now on the road to recovery.

Once recovered and in summer months, we will off load any extra top soil we get from other jobs to fill in some low areas. - You can do this too if you've ordered in too much topsoil 😍

Supporting our local community means just as much to us as growing healthy lawns. We can't wait to see the transformation over the coming weeks 🌱

🌱 Ready for another early start!

The Lawn Medics are getting busier every week, and we couldn't be more grateful.

Booked out for 6 weeks!

Facebook and Google keep asking if we'd like to pay to advertise, but after looking back at our previous jobs, I noticed something pretty special... around 65% of our work has come from referrals by our amazing customers.

That tells us we're doing something right! 💚

🌱 🌿 At The Lawn Medics, we are committed to continually improving our knowledge so we can deliver the best possible results.

This week I've been attending a TAFE course focused on w**d identification, treatment, and prevention. I've been learning from experienced lecturers and industry professionals with an incredible depth of knowledge, and it's been a fantastic opportunity to expand our skills.

I have also been diving into soil health and management, how plants absorb and use nutrients, and the environmental factors that influence healthy turf and plant growth. - Understanding what's happening beneath the surface is just as important as what you see above it.

A highlight of the course has been heading out into the bush to identify w**ds in their natural environment, learning how different species grow, spread, and respond to various treatment methods.

Every course we complete helps us provide more informed advice, better treatment plans, and healthier lawns for our clients.

🌧️ Rainy days might put lawn renos on hold, but they give us the perfect opportunity to keep our equipment in top shape.

At The Lawn Medics, we use wet weather days to service, sharpen, clean, and maintain our machinery, ensuring we're ready to deliver the best possible results when the weather clears.

A little downtime for the lawns means maintenance time for the tools! 🔧🌱

This week we had the opportunity to give something back to the people who are always there when our community needs them most.

We donated our time and services to rejuvenate the lawn at our local Fire Station, creating a greener and more enjoyable space for the volunteers to relax between training, call-outs, and community service.

These men and women willingly give up their time, leave their families at a moment's notice, and put themselves on the front line to help protect our community. While a healthy lawn is a small gesture compared to what they do, it's our way of saying thank you.

We are incredibly grateful for everything our volunteer firefighters do and are proud to support them in the small ways we can.
