About Benash Maintenance Services
Benash Maintenance Services is an electrical, fire and security systems contractor delivering maintenance and project works across government, Defence and commercial sites in the Northern Territory.
We are commencing a new long-term contract and are seeking a PA / Contract Administration Officer to work closely with the Tradesman in Charge to support and facilitate the successful operation of the contract.
About the Role
This is a new and evolving role, suited to someone who enjoys taking ownership, building systems, and working closely with trade staff to keep operations running smoothly.
You will act as a key point of support between the trades team, management, subcontractors and the client, helping ensure contractual, safety and documentation requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities
• Work closely with the Tradesman in Charge to facilitate day-to-day contract operations
• Assist with scheduled maintenance planning and tracking
• Coordinate reactive maintenance jobs
• Support project works under the contract
• Liaise with and coordinate sub-contractors
• Manage and track access requests, permits and site requirements
• Assist with trade staff compliance (inductions, licences, certifications, PPE, etc.)
• Ensure job documentation is completed, submitted and stored correctly
• Support compliance with WHS, client, and contractual requirements
• Assist with reporting and general contract administration as required
About You
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Comfortable working with tradespeople and operational teams
• Takes ownership of tasks and follows them through to completion
• Confident communicator, both written and verbal
• Able to adapt as the role evolves and contract requirements develop
• Comfortable working in a compliance-driven environment
Desirable (but not essential)
• Experience in scheduled or reactive maintenance planning
• Experience in construction, electrical, fire, security or facilities management environments
• Familiarity with job management systems, compliance portals, or government contracts
