Experienced Excavator Operator – Arboriculture / Tree Works
Agile Arbor is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our growing team. This role is suited to someone who is confident operating machinery in tight, live environments and has experience working around tree operations.
About the Role
• Operating excavators (including tree grabs and attachments) on tree removal, storm damage and roadside works
• Assisting arborist crews with safe handling and processing of timber and debris
• Working on a variety of sites including residential, commercial and roadside projects
• Maintaining plant and equipment to a high standard
About You
• Proven experience operating excavators (13.5t and above preferred)
• Experience in arboriculture, vegetation management or civil works highly regarded but not necessary
• Ability to work safely around chainsaws, EWPs and ground crews but not necessary
• HC Licence
• White Card essential
• Relevant tickets and licences (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong work ethic and a team-focused attitude

Massive effort from the crew today 👏

This tree collapsed onto a house during the storm and had to be removed by crane. Unfortunately, years of little to no maintenance meant the canopy was extremely dense, when the wind hit, it acted like a sail instead of allowing the wind to pass through. Regular pruning lets wind move through the tree rather than against it, reducing the risk of failure in extreme weather.

Can you guess how many tonnes this stump weighed? 😳
