Over the past 20 plus years, the Undercover team with the assistance of our Nursery , have planted literally thousands of native trees around Sydney for local Councils and developers.
Tree planting along public walks is a simple but effective way to improve the quality of life in urban areas and brings a wide range of benefits. Mature trees provide shade and protection from the sun, which make walking more comfortable for pedestrians. They also contribute to a more pleasant and attractive environment, which will also encourage people to walk and spend more time outdoors and promote a sense of community pride. Additionally, in a streetscape environment , trees can help reduce noise pollution by absorbing sound, reduce heat in residential areas and provide a natural barrier between pedestrians and traffic.
Furthermore, they can help to mitigate the effects of climate change by absorbing carbon dioxide and other pollutants from the air.

Always innovating. Undercover Group's ecology and maintenance teams are consistently striving to find better and more efficient ways to carry out maintenance tasks. Recently, they have acquired an AS 1040 YAK 4WD Mower, which enables them to easily perform slashing on small and challenging sites that are not suitable for a full-sized tractor slasher. With an ecologist on board, it is easy to avoid slashing the desirable vegetation. This new machine, with a single operator can do the work of several men who would have had to slash manually using brushcutters.
We also operate a full sized tractor slasher for the broad acre sites.

Another Day, another quality basin stabilisation and planting project for our valued client Devcon Civil . Taking the time to ensure a neat jute mat installation makes all the difference to the overall aesthetics of a basin construction. With those incoming clouds in the background, it is the perfect time to plant. Great job team.

Bringing the rain....... Establishment watering is critical for the survival and growth of new plantings. When a plant is first transplanted, its roots are often disturbed, and the plant may experience transplant shock. This shock can cause the plant to wilt, lose leaves, and potentially die if not properly cared for. Adequate watering during this critical period helps the plant to establish new roots and recover from transplant shock. Additionally, proper watering ensures that the plant has access to the necessary nutrients and moisture to thrive in its new environment. Neglecting to water new plantings can lead to stunted growth, susceptibility to pests and diseases, and ultimately, plant failure. Thus, it is crucial to establish a consistent watering routine to give new plantings the best chance of success.

Prepare and Plant ... After ripping, cultivating and installing Jute and mulch, some healthy plant stock from Undercover Nursery are installed into our project at Kellyville for DSA Contracting.
Native revegetation of drainage swales in new developments can provide a range of benefits. Firstly, it can help to prevent erosion and sedimentation, as well as filter pollutants and nutrients from stormwater runoff before it reaches nearby waterways. Additionally, native vegetation can enhance biodiversity and provide habitat for local wildlife. The presence of vegetation can also improve the aesthetic appeal of the area and create a sense of community pride. Finally, the use of native plants in revegetation efforts can help to preserve local genetic diversity and maintain the ecological integrity of the surrounding landscape.

In house capabilities.
The Undercover Group's Positrak fitted with a Fecon Forest Mulcher makes light work of low value, dense w**d growth and creates a low mulch cover to help prevent erosion while allowing us to easily treat w**d re growth. This area on our project at Akuna Vista was completely inaccessible by foot, however the mulcher enabled us to quickly clear large tracts of dense w**d growth and to create access tracks to allow our Bush Regeneration team to carry our primary w**ding in sensitive areas of high value vegetation along the creek line as part of our implementation of the VMP.
Undercover Nursery is currently growing provenance native tubestock for use in the revegetation of this project.

Utilising our own plant nursery as well as operating a diverse selection of modern machines and attachments including mulchers, slasher, rippers and cultivators, Undercover Group is able to provide turn key solutions for all types of projects.
