Comparison of Tender and Construction Drawings

Recently a major contractor engaged our services to compare tender and construction drawings for the concrete structure, and plasterboard trades on a major healthcare project. Engaging My Estimator on this task gave the client a transparent comparison of the changes to allow them to better manage the project.

The 60 different wall types certainly made the measure more difficult; however the team rose to the challenge, and undertook a full measure of all items. The structural measure only measured the differences between the two sets of drawings.

Many subcontractors price builder provided quantities at tender time, and are then required to compare this to a contract set of drawings. Do subcontractors actually check the differences, and if so how are they doing it? Is this a service that we could assist you with?

We are delighted that one of our foundation subcontractors has just won his 100th project using our services.

Initially we provided take-offs for this client, but have since moved to providing a full quotation service where we measure, price and submit the quotation directly to builders.

The positive feedback we are receiving for the clarity of the quotation is encouraging. This clarity allows our client to attend site with no further preparation than printing out of estimate. When they arrive on site they have 3D pictorial representations of where the work is required to be done.

All the quotes we are providing are sent out directly from this clients own email address, and therefore all the important first contact with builders and suppliers comes directly to them.

We would like to take on more repeat client subcontractor work and would welcome the opportunity to talk to anyone interested in us providing this service.

I have spent the last week overseas with my offshore partners, and am excited by the prospects for our business going forward. We have some additional capacity so that I am now looking to organically growing the business to service some selected new clients.
