When our mates at Statewide Plumbing called needing assistance with a broken sewer, we were quick to jump in and lend a hand.
With the repair located within a school, the project required night works to minimise disruption. For us, that was no problem — our team is equipped to work whenever the job needs to get done, day or night.
With a great crew on site, we were able to accurately locate the damaged section of sewer and assist with the repairs, all while avoiding unnecessary excavation and preventing further damage to surrounding services and infrastructure.

GV Drilling & Civil is a local family-owned business based in the Goulburn Valley, delivering water, sewer, and communications infrastructure projects across Victoria, New South Wales, and South Australia.
Due to continued growth, we currently have two positions available:
✅ Plumber (looking for a career change or new opportunity)
✅ Civil Labourer
We work on both new and existing infrastructure, undertaking a variety of projects including:
• Directional Drilling • Hydro Vac (NDD) Operations • Excavation Works • Water Main & Sewer Main Repairs • Water Main & Sewer Main Installations • Communications Infrastructure Works
We're looking for motivated individuals who:
✔ Have a professional attitude and strong work ethic
✔ Take pride in producing high-quality work ✔ Can problem-solve and work independently ✔ Are reliable and willing to learn
✔ Are physically fit and comfortable with hands-on, labour-intensive work
✔ Are willing to work away when required (FIFO projects)
✔ Can pass drug and alcohol testing when required
✔ Have civil construction experience (advantageous but not essential)
✔ Don't mind getting their hands dirty

Recently we had the pleasure of working alongside Brady Electrical on another project where safety came first.
Before any excavation could begin, the team was faced with the unknown — with no certainty on what underground services were located within the work area. Rather than taking the risk with conventional excavation methods, Brady Electrical Contracting brought us in to safely hydro vac the trench and expose the underground assets first.
Once opened up, multiple power and communication services were identified throughout the area, proving exactly why non-destructive digging is so important before breaking ground.

This job here was for a large dairy farm that required 2 x 150mm and 2 x 100mm power conduits installed for upgrades to their expanding dairy operation.
As the bore path ran directly through the concrete laneway used by the cows during milking, open trenching simply wasn’t an option. The farmer contacted GV Drilling & Civil and we were able to get the job completed with zero disruption to daily milking operations.
Using HDD (Horizontal Directional Drilling) allowed us to install all conduits underground while keeping the surface intact and the dairy running as normal.

Recently had the pleasure of working right on the banks of Lake Mulwala.
This project involved a 50m HDD shot installing 150mm sleeve for a water main, with plenty of existing services to navigate along the way. With 2 power services, 2 NBN lines, gas and sewer all in the drill path, accuracy and planning were critical from start to finish.
Another tight access job completed safely and efficiently by the team at GV Drilling & Civil. 👌💧

Had the little drill out recently putting in a new gas connection to a property.
With a large garden bed sitting right in the line from the gas main, conventional trenching would’ve been an absolute nightmare — messy, time consuming, and a lot of reinstatement.
Perfect job for our baby drill 👌
Minimal disruption, clean result, and straight in where we needed to be.

Saturday morning spent locating a water main 💧
Unfortunately, the DBYD plans weren’t clear on the connection point, so we brought in the hydro vac to safely expose the area. This method eliminates the risk of damaging the water main or any other unknown underground assets.
