🔨 CIVIL LABOURER – FIFO / 10 ON 4 OFF 🔨
GV Drilling & Civil is looking for a reliable, hard-working labourer to join our growing team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, getting their hands dirty and being part of a team doing a variety of civil and underground works.
🛠️ The role will involve:
Hydro excavation / non-destructive digging
Installation of telecommunications pits
Civil and underground works
Assisting with excavation and trenching
General labouring duties
Working alongside excavators, hydro vac trucks and drilling equipment
👷 What we're looking for:
Truck licence – essential
Excavator experience highly preferred
Reliable and punctual
Good work ethic and willing to get stuck into the job
Able to work both independently and as part of a team
Not afraid of manual labour or getting dirty
Takes pride in their work and keeps the job neat, tidy and efficient
Must be willing to work away from home
🏠 FIFO / Roster
This is a 10 days on / 4 days off position, with work requiring you to travel away from home.
When working away, comfortable accommodation is provided in a brand-new home, shared with the crew — so you won't be living out of a donga or cramped motel room.
We're a fun team to work with, but we take pride in our work and expect everyone to pull their weight and get the job done properly.

GV Drilling & Civil is looking for a qualified plumber who is ready to change things up from the usual day-to-day plumbing!
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has a good attitude and isn’t afraid to get stuck into a job. You’ll need to be able to work independently when required, but also be a great team player and work well under pressure.
Experience in water and sewer is highly recommended, but we’re happy to give the right person the opportunity to learn and develop their skills.
🛠️ The work
Our work is varied and includes: • Sewer main repairs and installations
• Water main repairs and installations
• Water service repairs and replacements
• Excavation and civil works
• Hydro excavation and underground works
• General plumbing work
• Plenty of jobs that are a bit different from your normal day-to-day plumbing
👷 What we’re looking for
• Qualified plumber
• Pride in yourself and the quality of your work
• Able to work alone when required
• Reliable and punctual
• Team player with a good attitude
• Comfortable working under pressure
• Willing to get your hands dirty and do manual labour when required
• Able to work away from home at times

Excavator ticket and truck licence are an advantage, but not essential. We’re more than happy to put the right person through additional tickets and training if we think you’re the right fit for the team.

Our work is mainly local, but there will be times where travel to NSW and South Australia is required.

Ripping in a sewer on grade for a good friend of ours statewide plumbing over the weekend. Tight access and a large amount of concrete ment conventional excavation weren't an option here. This is where drilling can make it easy work.

🚜💧 DRILLING THROUGH THE PADDOCK – MINIMAL IMPACT, MAXIMUM RESULT! 💧🚜
Recently we were asked by a local farmer if we could directionally drill underneath a road to get water from one side of the farm to the other.
After seeing just how quick, clean and easy the first crossing was, the farmer asked us to take it a step further — drilling in multiple directions throughout the paddock to connect up stock troughs across the property. 🐄💦
By using directional drilling, we were able to install the water lines with minimal disturbance to the paddock.
✅ No long trenches through the pasture
✅ No open trenches for cattle to get their legs caught in
✅ Minimal damage to the existing pasture
✅ Less disruption to the farm and livestock
✅ Fast installation with a clean finish
It’s a great example of how directional drilling can be used in agricultural applications to get water where it needs to go without tearing up the paddock in the process.

Due to a growing number of projects across Victoria, NSW, South Australia and potentially Queensland, we’re looking to expand our team!
💦 VAC TRUCK OPERATOR
We’re looking for an experienced Vac Truck Operator who:
Has experience operating vac truck/hydro excavation equipment
Knows what they’re doing and can work independently
Works safely, efficiently and takes pride in their work
Is willing and able to travel for projects
Is comfortable working away from home
🔩 DIRECTIONAL DRILL OPERATOR
We’re also looking for an experienced Directional Drill Operator.
You must:
Have proven experience in directional drilling
Be confident navigating around existing underground assets
Be capable of working safely in tight and challenging areas
Have a good understanding of underground services
Take pride in producing quality work
Be willing and able to live away from home when required
Our work is predominantly water service, power and communications installations, along with larger civil and infrastructure projects.
🏕️ FIFO & TRAVEL
FIFO and working away from home plays a large role in our business, with projects taking us across multiple states. You must be comfortable spending periods away from home and travelling for work.

Some projects are a little more special than others, and we were lucky enough to be involved in this one in the beautiful Benalla Gardens.
With limited access for larger drilling rigs and trucks, our compact directional drill and support truck were able to slip into the park with minimal disturbance to the surrounding environment.
We successfully installed almost 200 metres of 180mm HDPE pipe for a new fire service. By using horizontal directional drilling, we eliminated the need for extensive excavation, helping preserve the pristine gardens while delivering the project efficiently and safely.

The boys recently spent two days in Kerang completing over 200 metres of directional drilling for a new fire service installation.
By drilling the entire project, the plumbers were able to minimise the amount of open-cut trenching required, resulting in less reinstatement, reduced disruption to other trades on site, and an overall cleaner, neater finish.
This project consisted of multiple 300mm shots and several 170mm shots, proving once again how effective directional drilling can be in keeping projects moving efficiently.

When our mates at Statewide Plumbing called needing assistance with a broken sewer, we were quick to jump in and lend a hand.
With the repair located within a school, the project required night works to minimise disruption. For us, that was no problem — our team is equipped to work whenever the job needs to get done, day or night.
With a great crew on site, we were able to accurately locate the damaged section of sewer and assist with the repairs, all while avoiding unnecessary excavation and preventing further damage to surrounding services and infrastructure.
