A burnished slab is a high-risk finished surface that's present from the very start of the build. Because it can't be repaired once damaged, and because every trade that comes through site is a potential risk to it, Impact Build have created a formal protection system, a checklist nailed to the front door, that every trade and even the clients must acknowledge before entering.

The point is that protecting SoS Architects’s specification and the client's finished home requires active process management, not just good intentions.

Windows are more than a functional necessity, they’re architectural decisions that shape the feel of a space.

This room’s picture window isn’t just about capturing the view. It’s deliberately set low and wide to frame the landscape like a piece of living artwork, bringing in bushland tones and morning light without distraction.

On the opposite wall, the high awning window softens the space with a wash of afternoon light. A passive lighting strategy that keeps the room bright but never harsh.

Most people assume the first step is finding an architect or designer. It's not.

A qualifying build estimate is an early-stage cost picture, developed before detailed plans are finalised. It tells you what your project will realistically cost before a designer has drawn a single line, which means the plans that follow are shaped by what's actually achievable, not what looked good on paper.

Without one, it's easy to invest months and thousands of dollars into documentation that doesn't survive first contact with a builder's pencil.

At Impact Build, a qualifying estimate is a standard part of the pre-construction process. The goal isn't to shrink your vision, it's to make sure the path to getting there is clear before the meters start running.

While revisiting a project in Taradale for more additions, we’ve had the chance to see how our previous work has stood the test of time. In addition to extenstions to the main residence, the Impact Build team was also tasked with constructing a workshop and carport to suit the owner’s Winebago.

Additions like this really add to the lifestyle aspect of a rural property, we’re thrilled to be able to provide that to these wonderful clients.
