The foundation of the deck structure is ready to go for the next stages of the build. Bearers and posts are in.
Next step we are laying bark underneath the deck on the black plastic. Black plastic underneath the deck structure is to stop grass, weeds etc growing through. The bark will contribute to the overall look and feel we are creating in the yard.

Our twin girls who are turning 6 this year have been asking for a cubby for at least 12 months now. We’ve been pondering ideas, researching & conceptualising for a while now.
Sarah has been the visionary to get this one going. Her creative mindset, energetics and ability to not only see but feel into the future of our family and always improving the energy and space within our family and our home has brought this to fruition.
With longevity, practicality & durability at the forefront of Kurt’s mind, as the girls grow older, his attention to detail, project planning, carpentry experience and knowledge of materials to produce something of high quality, affordability and longevity that will provide versatility and adaptability with the girls growing & changing personalities and desires has definitely got the project off the ground and underway!
This will be a space for the girls both to hang out and play, rain hail or shine with one another and their friends too and let their imaginations run wild as they already do!
Some inspiration & visionary motivation for this space once it is built and in the coming years is attached compliments of
