Client goal: maintain independent transfers in a new SDA home. ✨

The challenge? Our client’s new environment didn’t support her existing setup.

To get it right, Ted completed a joint site visit with our client and her OT at her current home, observing her transfer technique and functional setup firsthand. 👀

From there, we assessed the new bathroom and worked collaboratively to ensure the space supported our client’s safety and independence.

🚿The outcome: a tailored solution supporting safe, independent transfers:

✅ Padded shower bench
✅ Padded support benches either side of the toilet
✅ Adapted drop-down rail with added padding + support legs
✅ Spatial modifications to enable safe installation
