When set out to transform a 32-hectare former waste facility into one of Western Sydney's landmark sport and recreation destinations, the brief was complex, multi-sport fields, a pump track, skate park, water play, dog park, 500+ car spaces, and full landscaping across the site. Our role was ex*****on. Taking a fully designed precinct and delivering it to the standard a $44.5 million community investment demands.

Completed in 2024, It's been great to see this one come to life, a space the Penrith community can genuinely be proud of.

16 stations. But the work goes way beyond the platform 🚊

Gardens, pathways, connecting green spaces, even a stretch of cycleway, 37 sites in total across the Parramatta Light Rail corridor. And Naomi leads every single one of them. When we visited, something caught our attention. Every train driver that passed waved at her. By name. That’s what happens when someone shows up with that level of care, every day, in a space thousands of people move through.

Landscape maintenance at this scale isn’t just about keeping things green. It’s about focus. Three years to keep the corridor at its best. We’re here for it.

Ken Birdsey Park – Amenities Building

Gartner Rose Pty Ltd were engaged by Glascott to deliver the Ken Birdsey Park Amenities Building, and this infrastructure detail is a good reminder of the complexity and care that goes into delivering spaces built to last.

From the striking Corten weathering steel façade to the fully integrated services running underground - potable water, fire, electrical, security, and a recycled water system fed by an in-ground water harvesting tank - every element has been carefully considered.

Proud to have delivered this exciting new facility alongside Glascott for Blacktown City Council, with significant funding support from the NSW Government Accelerated Infrastructure Funding initiative, to provide a high-quality community asset the whole community will enjoy for years to come.

Ken Birdsey Park – Progress Update

The site continues to evolve, with visible progress across several key areas. Recent works have focused on turf preparation and installation, with the first areas already establishing well.

With the builds now complete, the project is entering its final stages, a great milestone for everyone involved.

A new way to move - Grey Box Gum Dam.

Set within Western Sydney Parklands, this project introduces an elevated boardwalk and viewing deck designed to improve access while respecting the surrounding environment.

A structure that sits lightly in the landscape, built to last and designed to be used.

Glascott’s first project in the Parklands, and the beginning of more to come.
