After the week of wild rain across Victoria, it’s no surprise local stormwater systems are feeling the pressure!

We received a call from a Lara homeowner whose carport had flooded overnight. Mat was on-site fast with his trusty CCTV camera setup ready to track down the culprit.

At first glance, it looked like a simple mud and rock blockage, but a closer look revealed the real problem, a root invasion that had crept its way deep into the stormwater line.

Using non-invasive camera technology and a bit of elbow grease, Mat was able to clear out the debris, restore flow, and get water moving again in no time.

While the drain is running smoothly now, a dig-up and pipe repair has been recommended to prevent future blockages and keep things flowing freely.

Friday morning septic alarm? No problem!

At 6:48am, Mat received an urgent call from a worried homeowner whose septic alarm was going off. Within the hour, he was onsite and ready to get to work.

After draining the tank for inspection, Mat found the septic pump had seen its final flush... After 8 hardworking years, it was beyond repair. With it being a Friday, getting a replacement in time was a race against the clock.

But that’s what we do best. The new replacement septic pump arrived that same afternoon, and Mat was back onsite to install and commission the new unit before the day was out.

When the garden looks peaceful, but your water meter tells another story…

A homeowner in Altona North called us after hearing water running down their stormwater drain, even with all taps off. Their water meter was constantly ticking over, which meant one thing: a hidden leak.

After a full site inspection, we traced the issue to a damaged copper water line running directly beneath a large tree. The only way to reach and repair it was to remove the entire tree, stump and all.

Once exposed, we found a small but costly hole in the pipe. Our team replaced the damaged section, installed a new isolation valve and tap, and pressure-tested the system to ensure everything was watertight and future-proof.

On this job, the homeowner’s septic inlet pipe kept blocking up, causing constant backups and slow drainage. After a full inspection, we found the concrete slab above had dropped, crushing the sewer pipe underneath and forcing the line to fall backwards towards the house instead of flowing away from the house.

Using a stringline level check, we confirmed the incorrect fall, then got to work:
✅ Replaced and regraded the damaged sewer pipe.
✅ Upgraded the dizzy pit and aggie drain lines for smoother flow and better long-term drainage performance.
✅ Restored the proper fall to protect the system and stop future blockages.

On a recent job Mat from Diverse Plumbing Systems used a non-invasive CCTV inspection camera to locate a septic line blockage caused by tree root intrusion then managed to clear the line remotely so the system now flows freely again.

If your septic drains slowly, tree roots are often the culprit and left alone they will continue to grow within the pipework.

What we did:
• CCTV camera inspection to pinpoint the blockage (no digging).
• Located root invasion near some trees within the homeowners garden.
