Here are some practical EOFY (end of financial year) money tips that can help you feel more organised and in control before 30 June:
✅ Review your spending and subscriptions. EOFY is a good time to check where your money is going and cancel anything you no longer use.
✅ Don’t rush into EOFY sales. A discount only saves you money if you were already planning to buy the item. Watch out for pressure tactics and “limited time” offers.
✅ Check your superannuation. Log into your super account to review your balance, fees and insurance.
✅ Watch out for tax and EOFY scams. Scammers often impersonate the ATO, myGov or well-known brands during tax time. Be cautious of unexpected texts, emails or phone calls asking for personal information or payments.
✅ Review your savings goals. EOFY can be a great checkpoint to see how your goals are tracking and reset your budget for the year ahead.
✅ Review your insurance: do you have the right cover for your needs?
✅ If you can, make a tax deductible donation to a charity that you care about.
This is general advice and does not take into account your personal circumstances.
