A great turnout yesterday for the New Horizons Great Western Tiers Cycle Challenge HCP 100km ride. There is plenty of charity rides these days but none more important than this one! Thanks to the numerous volunteers who kept us safe and (mostly) on the right roads 😜

We are also stoked to be involved with another Tasmanian Irrigation project with Shaw Contracting!

Sassafras and Wesley Vale farmers will be able to access almost triple the amount of irrigation water, thanks to a $124.2 million augmentation of their existing scheme. Representatives of the Australian and Tasmanian Governments and farmers today joined Tasmanian Irrigation to celebrate the commencement of construction on this 9,200 megalitre project. Two pump stations will be built and more than 100 kilometres of pipeline laid by Shaw Contracting, increasing the existing scheme’s capacity to a total of 14,860 megalitres. The augmentation has been funded by the Federal Government ($62.1 million), the Tasmanian Government ($31.05 million) and irrigators ($31.05 million) through the purchase of water entitlements, and is expected to be operational in 2027.
