NEW BUILD SPOTLIGHT: A Clever Secondary Dwelling in Eatons Hill! 🏡

Take a look at this beautiful new home Simone and Ian have built for their Daughter!
Constructed on a timber subframe directly on-site, tucked in behind an existing home in Eatons Hill. It's a perfect example of how a compact, well-designed secondary dwelling can add real value and flexibility to an existing property.

At 48.6m² total (44.8m² of internal living plus a 3.8m² covered porch), this little home makes every square metre count, an open-plan living and kitchen area, a bedroom, and a bathroom, all under an elegant hip roof with a 22.5° pitch. It's a layout that proves you don't need a big footprint to live comfortably.

On the outside, it's finished in James Hardie Axon 133mm Smooth cladding with Colorbond roof sheeting, Merbau decking to the entry landing and stairs, and an aluminium balustrade with a ladies' waist-height top rail for safety and style. Built to an N3 wind rating on timber subfloor framing, it's a solid, durable little home designed to last.

HANDOVER DAY: Island Living, Delivered! 🔑

This one has just been completed and handed over to its new owners! A custom home built for its island setting on Macleay Island.

Construction kicked off back in mid-May, and just over four months later, the keys are in the new owners hands. In that time, this custom design came together as a steel-subframe home elevated on adjustable stumps, built to a N3 wind rating for its exposed, coastal-proximity site.

Inside, it's all about easy, open-plan living — a raked-ceiling living, dining and kitchen space (kitchen finished with a beautiful stone benchtop) flowing out to not one but two covered timber decks, front and back, both with Merbau decking and aluminium balustrading. There are 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, separate WC, walk-in robe and laundry, all up at 143.2m² including decks. Finished outside in Weathertex Weathergroove Woodsman cladding with Colorbond roofing, it's built to handle island conditions while still feeling like home.

It's always rewarding watching a custom design go from concept to completion, and this one's a great example of what's possible when a build is designed around the site and how a family actually wants to live.

It's a Wonderful time to start building in Witta! 🌏

Our team just dropped off the steel subframe at this gorgeous block in Witta QLD This is the very first step for this new home, and there's a fair bit of site engineering behind it to get to this point.

This is a steep, rural block so it's had to be assessed for landslide and steep land hazard, bushfire risk and regulated vegetation before a single beam went in.
To handle the terrain, the home is going up on a steel subframe with cross bracing, sitting on a concrete sleeper retaining wall system, and built to BAL 12.5 (bushfire) and N4 (wind) ratings.
Solid foundations for a not-so-flat block! 💪

Once finished, this one-bed, one-bath home will have 54.9m² of living space, a 15.8m² deck, 22.1m² carport and a 22,700L water tank — finished off with James Hardie Axon cladding, Colorbond roofing, Merbau decking and aluminium balustrading.

Spring has sprung in Margate ......and It's Handover Season! 🏡
Congratulations to Danielle on the wonderful addition to her home.
From an empty block to a beautiful finished home, this transformation never gets old! 🔨

This 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom home was designed for easy, comfortable living for Danielle's Son and his partner:

✅ Open-plan kitchen and living area with raked ceilings
✅ Built-in robes in both bedrooms
✅ Separate laundry
✅ A generous Merbau deck, perfect for entertaining
✅ Split-system air conditioning in the living area

We needed to design and build to specific code compliance given the site was near the water at Margate. Anything within coastal proximity needs to be treated differently to normal construction. Also given the site is a corner block we needed to apply for a relaxation to essentially build the granny flat in the front yard.
We take care of all of these council approvals and construction code requirements. These buildings are fully class 1A and built for permanent occupation (not a caravan or tiny home)

We love watching a plan turn into a place a family is proud to call home. we hope our lovely clients get to enjoy this for many years to come.

Once complete, this one is headed out to Poona!
