What a privilege to restore these old bench seats! These chairs had a long history, originally in the Palace theatre in Kalgoorlie. Later on the braces were added and the seats used outside the general store around sixty years ago. They were gifted to the store owner in exchange for groceries. The son of the store owner had them restored by me and now one sits outside his house and the other is back with his dad. They don't look it but would be one of the most comfortable benches I have ever sat in!
