DeaneBuilt Constructions is a family-owned carpentry business located at Longreach, Queensland. We currently undertake tasks including all aspects of carpentry, such as renovations, decks and new sheds, as well as poly welding and grader operation within Longreach and surrounding rural properties. We are also currently an agent for Steel Buildings Australia.
We are looking at expanding the carpentry side of the business in 2022 and are willing to consider any applicant with a background in construction. Our ideal candidate would have:
• A Cert III in Carpentry (however we will consider any construction experience).
• Welding experience would be an advantage.
• Experience working with asbestos would be an advantage.
• Concreting experience would be an advantage.
• Their own ABN or be willing to obtain (could also put you on casual wages).
• The ability to train and guide apprentices.
• Be self-motivated.
• A positive attitude with the willingness to learn.
• The ability to follow and take direction.
• The ability to work in both a team environment and alone.
• Take pride in themselves and their work.
• The ability to live without phone service on occasion (some of out work is undertaken on rural properties)
• Their own reliable 4WD vehicle.
• Their own tools of trade will be an advantage but not mandatory.
• Be willing to spend some nights away completing carpentry work on rural properties.
The position involves but is not limited to:
• All aspects of carpentry, undertaken in a safe and efficient manner.
• Demolition (including the occasional removal of asbestos).
• Construction of new sheds.
• Welding.
• Roofing.
• Concreting.
• There may be opportunities to complete some rural work on our cattle property for willing candidates if carpentry work is slow.
We will supply:

• The ability to see a lot of Western Queensland while you earn.
• Possibility of some on the job training.
• The occasional ‘Outback Experience’ working on the cattle station when carpentry work is slow (wages when doing this will vary depending on experience too).
