We found this giant redback spider and photographed it rare to see this much colour.

A rare sight on the drive home tonight.

This beautiful moonbow (a rainbow created by moonlight rather than sunlight) appeared over the road near Lorne at around 10:00 pm after rain passed through. The moon was directly behind us, creating this amazing arc across the night sky.

Sometimes you just have to stop and appreciate what nature puts on display.

This male fruit bat was spotted in Lorne on Sunday night in a fig tree. This is quite unusual as the flying foxes usually don’t come down this far south.
