In just one week, we'll be celebrating the incredible talent, leadership and achievements of women in our industry at the 2026 Mackay & Whitsunday Master Builders Awards.

This year, we're incredibly proud to have Nancy Lawes representing Team CiteCon.

👑 CITECON KINGFISHERS READY TO SOAR AGAIN IN 2026 🟣🏏

The CiteCon Kingfishers have finalised their squad following the Porters T20 Smash Draft Night, and the two-time champions will be one of the teams to watch once again.

As Porters T20 Smash champions in 2023 and 2025, the Kingfishers know what it takes to perform on the big stage, and under the coaching of Luke Kennedy, they have again built a squad packed with quality.

The Kingfishers have retained a strong core with Sam Vassallo, Darryn Dyer and Jack Law (U20) all locked in, giving the side an excellent platform heading into the 2026 campaign.

They then made an important early move with Jason Butterworth as their first draft pick, adding more strength to an already exciting line-up. With a mix of familiar names and fresh additions, the Kingfishers look well placed to launch another strong title challenge.

Congratulations to the CiteCon Kingfishers on their 2026 squad.

BUILDING WITH CONFIDENCE; CREATES OPPORTUNITES // This week we're catching up with Junior Site Supervisor Joe Allen, who has been leading the day-to-day coordination on an office refurbishment in Rockhampton for RGM.

We asked Joe, what's happening on site?

✔️ Complete replacement of all ceiling tiles for a fresh new look.
✔️ Existing vinyl flooring removed and replaced with a polished concrete finish throughout.
✔️ Full renovation of the bathroom amenities.
✔️ External brickwork rendered to give the building a clean, modern appearance.
✔️ Demolition of existing office walls and installation of sleek glass partitions to create an open, contemporary workspace.
✔️ Internal wall framing reconfigured to suit the client's operational requirements.
✔️ Workshop floor and parts room completed with a durable epoxy coating built to withstand the demands of a busy workshop.

CiteCon Kingfishers 2026 Retentions

The reigning champions are back. 👑🟣

The CiteCon Kingfishers, winners of the 2023 and 2025 Porters T20 Smash, are locked in and ready to defend their crown in 2026.

At the top, the CiteConKingfishers have retained inaugural coach Luke Kennedy, the mastermind behind both championship campaigns. Also returning is inaugural captain and Queensland Country representative Sam Vassallo, alongside Darryn Dyer, the 2025 Mackay Senior Cricket 1st Grade Player of the Year.

Rounding out a powerful retention group is Under 20 player Jack Law, who claimed the Porters Mitre 10 Under 20 T20 Smash Bowling Award in January 2026.

After building a superstar squad in 2025 and going all the way, the Kingfishers will enter the 2026 draft with Pick 4. The big question now is: who do they add next?

Player nominations are still open and close Wednesday 24 June 2026.

🏗️ SITE UPDATE // Another great week of progress onsite at Kinetic, with the project continuing to move forward at pace - update from Site Supervisor Aden McAnelly.....

✅ Framing, setting and sanding works have now been completed.
✅ Painting of internal walls has commenced.
✅ Installation of the grid ceiling is underway.
✅ External pavement works have been completed.
✅ The Ergon easement fence has now been completed.
✅ Door and hardware installation has commenced.
✅ Landscaping works have been completed, helping bring the external areas to life.

With internal finishes now progressing and key external works complete, the project is continuing to take shape and move closer towards completion. A huge thank you to all trades and suppliers involved for their continued effort and commitment to delivering a quality result.
