🔧COMPLETED PROJECT🔧
Our auto electrical team have just completed this Bitumen Sprayer project with the assistance from the crew at Queensland Central Bitumen.
This build included a full rewire of all the electrical components associated with the Bitumen Sprayer module, and all the safety components required to meet the Dangerous Goods standard.
A few things our team assisted with are:
✔️ Modified, fabricated and extended the vehicle chassis to suit the bitumen tank design.
✔️ Installed a Heavy Duty Bartlett Towbar.
✔️T-Switch Battery Isolator with alternator de-excitation circuit via emergency rollover switch.
✔️Starter isolator switch and jump start outlet.
✔️Emergency stop switches.
✔️Emergency shower.
✔️Electric/Air operated extendable handrails on top of the tank, governed by the vehicles hand brake to avoid ripping off any roller doors when entering and exiting the workshop if the switch is accidentally left on.
✔️Thermaguard sleeving installed to vulnerable wiring looms and air lines, to protect from hot bitumen product.
✔️In cab controls for all bitumen sprayer functions.
✔️High-definition camera system.
✔️Plenty of lighting to help ease operations.
✔️OEM Volvo programming for additional safety features and operation requirements for the bitumen sprayer module, to ensure the operators and those around the vehicle are kept safe.
It has been a pleasure to assist with putting together this build.
