🚜 A New Addition to the Fleet 🚜

A big thank you to for working with us on this project and helping deliver another great piece of equipment to the Mac Waste fleet.

Our new telehandler is now on site and ready for work, complete with a new lockable rotating fork attachment designed specifically for safely handling and disposing of our 3m bins on project works.

It was great to hand the machine over to our team and see it straight into action.

This machine also comes equipped with onboard scales, allowing us to accurately calculate the weight of every lift, providing greater efficiency and accountability on site.

With JCB LiveLink, we can also monitor:

✔️ Operating hours
✔️ Live fleet tracking
✔️ Equipment performance data
✔️ And much more

💧 You’d be surprised what’s sitting in the bottom of your water tank…

The photos in this post show just how much sludge can build up over time inside a tank that hasn’t been cleaned regularly.

That sludge doesn’t just disappear.
Over time, tanks can collect:
• Sediment and mud
• Bacteria and organic matter
• Leaves and debris
• Algae and slime

🏪 Sometimes it’s the simple setups that work best.

We recently dropped off this new bin setup for a local business in Bairnsdale — keeping things clean, simple, and easy to manage.

One 1100L general waste bin and one 1100L paper & cardboard bin ♻️

Big enough to handle the weekly mess, but still compact enough to not take over valuable space — making them a great fit for smaller shops and local businesses.

🏆 Employee of the Month – April

We’ve recently made a change from “Driver of the Month” to Employee of the Month.

The reason is simple — we want to recognise more than just driving. It’s about the full contribution each person makes on and off site.

That includes attitude, initiative, problem solving, reliability, teamwork, and overall work ethic — not just how well someone drives, but how they operate as part of the team.

For April, our Employee of the Month is Drew Ellis.

Drew is still relatively new to the company, but you wouldn’t know it. He’s been working with the mindset and consistency of someone who’s been here for years.

His initiative in the workforce has stood out from day one — getting on with the job, thinking ahead, and stepping up without needing direction. It’s made a real difference on site and within the team.

👏 Employee of the Month – March (A bit of a late shoutout!)

A well-deserved congratulations to Josh Winter, our Assistant Operations Manager, for taking out Employee of the Month for March.

Josh earned this through his hard work and dedication, but even more so his ability to think on his feet and stay three steps ahead. He consistently takes initiative, makes decisions that support the wider team, and makes life easier for everyone around him.

“Turbo” can do it all when it comes to getting the job done. He’s now stepping further into management, pushing outside his comfort zone and taking on responsibilities such as organising schedules and managing day-to-day operations.

For his efforts, Josh has also been rewarded with a Deluxe Detailing voucher to spend on shining up any of his own vehicles 🚗✨
