💪 Brad Pedder

Brad has been recognised for his can-do attitude and work ethic. He’s always willing to give anything a go and puts 100% into whatever is thrown his way.

As the business continues to grow and the roles start to evolve, this is exactly what we’re looking for from the boys. That kind of attitude is what puts them in the front seat for opportunities to grow within the company.

Drew has done a great job adapting to his new role and has shown a real willingness to learn. Since taking the lead on our NDD works, he’s stepped up and done a great job.

He’s also been doing a great job alongside Joel at Mac Locating, with the pair working together like a pot and parmy at the end of a long day. Well deserved, boys!

Thanks for the hard work and effort you both continue to put in.

Back when we worked 85 hour weeks; blood, sweat, tears and dust ups. Not many individuals can work like those blue collar civil boys, they will always have my respect.

Bodies were breaking, emotions were high; thinking of every way to escape but I weirdly find myself craving it.

True blue collar work is a privilege, coming home everyday recovering like you played a football game and getting ready for the next day is hell but I miss it.

I got to experience all that with my brother and because of my brother. And because of that experience I truly believe now that we are in business together nothing can hold us down.

I truly owe everything to him; being in business with you is different almost instinctual, hard to explain.

Tell em we’re coming. A saying that works in many ways; tell the clients, tell the competitors, tell the doubters, tell the 10 year old us and tell the dreaming 85 hour a week boy that him and his brother are coming!

Digging Where Excavators Can’t

We recently worked alongside a construction team at Woolworths Maffra to assist with works around their Tesla EV charging infrastructure.

With the work taking place in a confined area where an excavator couldn’t safely access, our Non-Destructive Digging (NDD) setup was brought in to safely excavate around existing services.

During the works, we also uncovered a water line in one of the excavation areas — exactly why careful excavation and service locating is so important before digging.

Our NDD equipment allows us to safely expose services in tight or sensitive areas, helping keep projects moving while reducing the risk of damage to underground infrastructure.

Richard has been an absolute gift to the Mac Waste family, bringing with him an immense amount of experience, knowledge and the level-headed approach you can expect from someone who has been in the game for as long as he has.

What makes Richard stand out, though, is the impact he has on the people around him. His professionalism, organisation and willingness to jump in wherever he is needed is rubbing off on the entire team — helping lift the standard across the company.

Ask Richard what he does at Mac Waste and he’ll probably tell you he’s “wearing a different hat every day.” And he’s not wrong.

Whether it’s helping in the field, keeping things organised, sharing his experience with the team, dealing with customers or stepping up to solve a problem, Richard has quickly become someone we know we can rely on.

His experience has been invaluable, but it’s his attitude, reliability and willingness to help wherever needed that really sets him apart.

Tonight, one of our own steps into the ring on the Gold Coast.

Max Reeves the Gippsland Gangster is back in action, taking on unbeaten New Zealander Oliver Firth on the undercard of the huge Nikita Tszyu vs Ben Mahoney card at the Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre.

Max comes into the fight with a 13-1-1 record and 8 KOs, facing another massive opportunity against an undefeated opponent.

🏟️ New bins, new partnership.

We’re excited to welcome the Gippsland Regional Indoor Sports Stadium in Traralgon to the Mac Waste family.

They recently teamed up with us because they were looking for something simple — a responsive, reliable, high-quality waste service they could count on.

And that’s exactly what we specialise in.

Waste management shouldn’t be something businesses and councils have to constantly worry about. When the bins are overflowing, collections are missed or the service isn’t responsive, it becomes another problem that needs attention.

That’s where we come in.

Huge congratulations to Braiden Winter on being named our Employee of the Month! 👏

This month, Braiden has shown a fantastic willingness to step up wherever he has been needed. Moving from working in the semi truck almost full-time back into the rigid trucks has made a significant impact, and his flexibility and commitment to putting the company first have not gone unnoticed.

When his number has been called, Braiden has stepped up, got the job done, and done so without complaint. These efforts have created a positive ripple effect across the team and are exactly what this award is about — recognising those who go above and beyond when it matters most.
