A quality job we have recently finished up for Reece Thompson - Real Estate Agent

The crew handled all ground works, with Simmo from
Simmons Bobcat hire excavating a second car space and bringing in crusher dust for a solid subgrade.

Josh from Callinan Plumbing Services
jumped in to upgrade the strip drains and install a pit, making sure all stormwater flows exactly where it should.

Prepped with F72 mesh and 12mm dowels to tie into the existing concrete, plus a concrete hob to turn previously unusable space into a future garden — saving the need for a retaining wall later on.

Finished off with 32MPa concrete in a clean pattern cove with tooled joints for a tidy, durable result.

Bit of a tough one from start to finish this job, threw a few challenges at us but the crew did what we do best — adapted and got it done 💪

Return client in Rutherford wanted a full backyard transformation, but with no machine access it was all hard yards…

🔹 4 tonne of concrete cut out & wheelbarrowed off site
🔹 8 tonne of old pavers lifted & removed
🔹 6 tonne of road base/dust barrowed back in
🔹 New drainage installed & plumbed up with the boys at Callinan Plumbing Services
🔹 15 cube poured including stairs & pathways

🔹Concrete pump supplied by James King at Kings pumpcrete

No shortcuts, just proper prep and getting stuck in.

Safe to say the boys absolutely smashed this one and the results speak for themselves 🔥

The boys absolutely ripped in this week 💪

📍 Branxton – Shed slab with dropped edges and piers for the zone of influence, plus brackets cast into the concrete ready for the shed frame.
Full prep day getting everything boxed, formed and spot on — followed by a full pour day to lock it all in. Set up right from the start so there’s no dramas later 👌

📍 Singleton Heights – Extra parking bay for the client’s business vehicles.
Full prep day cutting down levels, removing 8 truck loads of dirt to bring it to a usable height, and installing a dropped edge retaining wall to support the fence so they don’t have to retain it later.
Backed it up with a full pour day to finish it off properly.

Big week, long days, plenty of challenges — but the boys got it done in true CTC style… neat, tidy and right the first time.

Appreciate the effort from everyone involved 🤝

The boys have absolutely ripped in on this driveway replacement at Ashtonfield 💪🏼

Full paver removal around the house, followed by a fresh pattern-coved, tool-jointed driveway and paths.

What we thought would be an easy rip-up threw a few curveballs — nearly 50-year-old pavers glued to random chunks of concrete, plus pavers cut into garage vo crete under the roller door rebated and across the front of the layback.

Several solid hours on the concrete saw and jackhammer to get everything right and ensure proper thickness, and done properly.

Driveway & carport pour at East Maitland today.
Crew prepped this one about a week and a half ago, squeezing it in for a mate who needed some extra room for the new family caravan.

82 mesh through it and poured a bit thicker than your standard slab, so there’ll be no dramas using the side of the house for storage down the track. Finished off with a pattern cove finish, with the client planning to colour seal both the existing and new concrete in a few weeks so it all matches up nicely.

Cheers heaps to the boys for the absolute smashing effort on the 1st pour of 4 at our Coal Point project 💪

We held off on concrete for a bit this morning to make sure the rain was going to play nice, and it did. Good call all round.

The owners went with an 80/10/10 exposed mix on this one using pearl quartz, river stone and basalt, and it complements the house perfectly.

A few more pours to come this week, then acid wash and seal to finish it off.
