At C&J Decorative Concrete, the quality of the finished job starts well before we put a trowel on it — it starts with the concrete coming out of the truck.

We mainly use two concrete suppliers — WA Premix and Boral.

WA Premix is our preferred supplier and the one we use whenever possible. Over the years we’ve built confidence in their concrete, their mixes and the consistency we get from them — particularly with decorative concrete, where consistency can make a massive difference to the finished product.

We also use Boral when required, depending on the location of the job, availability and the particular mix needed. They’re another major supplier that we’re comfortable putting our name behind.

For us, it’s not simply about ordering the cheapest load of concrete available.

With 26 years in the concreting industry, we know the concrete itself matters just as much as the preparation, placement and finishing.

That’s why we’re particular about where our concrete comes from and what goes into every job.

Do you want a seamless concrete pool edge, or are you going to use a header course?

A seamless edge can give the entire pool surround a clean, modern look with the concrete flowing right to the pool edge.

A header course gives you a separate border around the pool and can be used to create a completely different look.

For our seamless pool edges, we use only high-quality PoolEdge System formwork to achieve a clean, professional finish.

We also supply stainless-steel skimmer lids — it’s the small finishing details that can make a massive difference to the completed pool area.

Concrete is a natural product. As it cures, it shrinks, expands and reacts to changes in temperature, moisture and the ground beneath it. Because of this, cracks can appear the next day, weeks later, months later or even years later. There is no set timeframe.
