🚩QLD Government Announces Disaster Relief 🚩

We're thankful to the State Government for providing funding to help those in need during these challenging times. 🌧️

We are particularly pleased to see the announcement of the Essential Services Safety and Reconnection Scheme (ESSRS) offering financial assistance to uninsured, low-income homeowners to repair their properties after storm damage🏡

🌩 Severe Weather Update 🌩

Due to the severe weather conditions, we want to reassure our clients that we are here to support you during this time.

Here are a couple of tips to keep yourself and your family safe during this event:

⚡Turn Off Solar Systems
To minimize any risks, we recommend shutting down your solar system to avoid potential fire hazards from storm damage.

⚡Generators
If you are using a portable generator ensure it is: safe to use, positioned in a well-ventilated outdoor area, not overloaded with too many appliances!

⚡Turn off Power if Flooding Occurs
If there’s flooding, turn off power at your switchboard if it’s safe to do so.

⚡Be Aware of Fallen Powerlines
Watch out for fallen or sparking power lines. If you see one downed outside, assume it is live and report it to Energex on
13 19 62.

Call us on 1300 795 516 if you need any assistance. We are still taking last minute bookings for safety inspections and changeover switch installations today.

Our emergency electricians will remain on call over the weekend and will be available to attend emergencies once the weather event is over.
