PREVELLY — I may have misread the brief on this one… from men’s shed to med shed.

Regardless, this little shed addition sits pretty comfortably in what was an awkward corner of the backyard, with the simple rendered form, timber detailing and relaxed landscaping tying back into the existing Mediterranean-style residence and the laid-back character of Prevelly.

A contemporary rural residence designed to complement the natural landscape of Willyabrup. Featuring rammed earth walls, board and batten cladding, expansive floor-to-ceiling glazing, and a restrained material palette, the home embraces natural light, passive solar principles, and a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor living.

Another exciting project approved and one step closer to construction.

Recently approved - MARGARET RIVER

Six bespoke chalets designed to sit quietly within the working farm landscape of Margaret River. Inspired by the surrounding farm buildings, the design embraces simple forms and honest materials, creating accommodation that feels like it has always belonged.

Featuring a blend of locally grown and milled Spotted Gum and Tasmanian Blackwood, each chalet celebrates craftsmanship, sustainability and a genuine connection to place.

Looking forward to seeing this one come to life.

Concept Design - Exmouth

Designed for the harsh beauty of the North West, this pavilion-style residence combines locally sourced rammed earth walls with exposed steel rafters and generous outdoor living spaces.

The separated pavilions create sheltered courtyards and capture cooling breezes, while the thermal mass of the rammed earth helps moderate internal temperatures throughout the year. Honest materials, simple forms and a connection to place were key drivers behind the design.

Developed in collaboration with designandconstruct, this contemporary home is inspired by the Exmouth landscape and designed to respond to climate, lifestyle and place.

Approved -BUSSELTON
A simple rural concept inspired by traditional farm sheds and South West landscapes. The design uses clean gable forms, corrugated cladding and connected pavilion-style spaces to create a home that feels practical, durable and grounded to the site.
Designed for a rural setting in the South West, the focus was durability, passive performance and understated character rather than unnecessary detail.

Under Construction - COWARAMUP

A simple twin-gable form designed to sit comfortably within the streetscape while still having a strong identity. The front façade uses thermally modified timber battens to bring warmth, texture and durability to the exterior, paired with native landscaping and restrained detailing throughout.

The focus for this home was creating a clean, grounded design that feels contemporary without overworking the architecture.
