Mental health in the construction industry is not a small issue. Every second day on average, Australia loses a construction worker to su***de, and 72% of men don’t seek help when facing mental challenges.
These numbers are hard to read and reinforces that mental health is not separate from workplace safety, it’s part of it.
That’s why the Pacific Blue and Studio Sora teams are taking part in The Push-Up Challenge to raise awareness and funds for mental health.
It is one small way to keep the conversation going, and to remind our team, our industry and our community that support should never feel out of reach.

“3,307…
That’s how many push ups each of us are doing. But it’s something much bigger. 3,307 lives were lost to su***de across Australia in 2024. That’s why we are taking part in the push up challenge. To raise awareness, to raise funds, and to help start better conversations around mental health.
Some of us are doing push ups, some are doing squats, some of us will be modifying them, some of us will be sore by day 2. But we’re doing it together. For the people we’ve lost, for the people struggling, and for better mental health. From the worksite, from the office, from the studio, and from wherever we are, we are getting it done. For a cause bigger than ourselves!”
