What do you call it?
CONCRETE or CEMENT?
We hear this all the time...
Can you please come & do some cement for me.
But the truth is Cement is just 1 ingredient when making Concrete.
So its like calling a Cake "Flour"
close but not quite right

Concrete NEVER fully dries & even years later there is still moisture still trapped inside.
We recommend you NEVER place anything extremely hot on your concrete, like a fire pit because that moisture can heat up, expand & create pressure inside the slab.
This can cause it to crack, spall & even blow out.
Not only can this be dangerous but also very costly to fix.

At Linxcrete, our job isn’t to pretend it won’t… it’s to control how and where it happens.

Here’s how we can minimise it:

• Correct reinforcement steel
• Proper base prep (no grass, no dodgy fill)
• Steel lifted into the top third not sitting useless on the ground
• Expansion joints to guide cracking
• Expansion foam along buildings and posts

Now here’s the truth…

Concrete cracks mostly due to how it cures.
As it hardens, moisture inside expands and contracts and that movement creates stress.
