- KPT Design & Build -
A friend now for some time, this client wanted to to put heads together with KPT to work through a plan to transform their kitchen with a fresh look and a new layout which worked better in their space.
A tough choice in the beginning was wether to do away with the ceiling bulkhead which matched the shape of the old kitchen or to keep, we settled on keep as it would split the main functioning part of the kitchen from the more relaxed dinner end of the equation, in the end it worked.
To achieve the new look and layout we decided on a full length stone island with a waterfall end at one end and 6 to 8 person breakfast/dinner bar at the other, the stone was Lavistone “Ivory Dream” with a wine rack as the base support for the breakfast bar.
Stainless steel benchtop and splashback with integrated stainless steel sinks.
The kitchen units were all finished in natural white satin two pack paint, Hettich soft close internals and hardware.
A custom made reeded timber rangehood cover was constructed to hide the ducting.
We designed and constructed a concealed oak veneer study nook with LED strip in the shelf, also a floating solid oak floating shelf was installed in the kitchen with recessed LED strip too for an evening glow.
The transformation speaks for itself and the new layout flows properly within the space.
