✨ Renovation upgrades that make everyday living better ⚡🏠

We recently completed a range of electrical upgrades for a home renovation in Ringwood North, helping modernise the space with improved lighting, ventilation, switching and functionality throughout the home 👌

For this project, we:
💡 Installed new LED bathroom downlights
🌬️ Replaced the ensuite exhaust fan
🔌 Added new powerpoints throughout the home
🚗 Installed new 2-way & 3-way switching for easier lighting control
🌙 Upgraded the external sensor lighting for added safety and convenience

Last week we had the opportunity to attend a local Trade & Business Expo and spend time connecting with businesses, community groups and locals from across Melbourne’s south east ⚡

As a family-run business, we genuinely love opportunities like this. It’s a chance to step away from the tools for a moment, meet people face-to-face and share more about what Ferguson Electrical is all about.

✨ From dark corners to warm, balanced lighting ✨

This Patterson Lakes home had gorgeous timber ceilings and skylights, but the lighting just wasn’t matching the space. The existing track light was sitting way up in the ceiling and getting lost, leaving the living area feeling much darker than it should.

So we reworked the layout completely 👇

Instead of trying to “make do” with the old setup, we designed a downlight layout that actually worked with the height and shape of the room, helping spread light more evenly throughout the space while still keeping the warmth and character of the timber features.

We also installed a new pendant light to help tie everything together 💡

The finished result feels:
✔️ brighter
✔️ warmer
✔️ more functional
✔️ way more inviting at night

And honestly… these high ceiling homes absolutely shine when the lighting is planned properly 🙌

💡 Bollard Lighting Back Up & Running Chelsea Heights

We recently returned to Lifestyle Communities in Chelsea Heights to get their pathway lighting back to where it should be - safe, reliable and looking great 👌

A number of the existing bollard lights had failed due to water ingress and incorrect wiring, leaving sections of the pathway dark for residents.

Our team:
✔ Re-terminated and rewired the faulty bollards
✔ Properly sealed fittings to prevent future issues
✔ Restored full lighting across the site
✔ Installed a PE cell for automatic car park lighting

The result? A safer, well-lit environment for residents and a system that’s built to last ⚡

For this NDIS client, the light switch was originally installed behind the door - making it difficult (and frustrating) to access.

Our apprentice Jordan has officially completed his first year with us - and we couldn’t be prouder!

Starting out in the trade is no small thing, and over the past 12 months we’ve watched Jordan grow in confidence, skill, and maturity on site. From learning the basics to getting stuck into more complex work, he’s built a solid foundation.

What stands out the most is his attitude - always willing to learn, take feedback on board and takes pride in his work. That’s what makes a great electrician!

He’s now stepping into his second year (and a more senior role within the team 👀), and we’re excited to see him continue to grow.

Well done Jordy - big things ahead! 👏
