A Hidden Leak Behind the Kitchen Wall
A customer recently contacted us after noticing a damp smell in the kitchen of their Victorian home.
The customer had previously called two other plumbing companies, but neither had been able to identify the problem.
We sent Guy out to take a look. After carefully investigating the pipework, he identified a leak hidden inside the wall. The leak was repaired, the damaged plaster was removed and the wall was left open to dry properly before repairs could continue.
We're always grateful when customers take the time to share their experience.
Dawn recently posted the feedback below about her experience with Inner City Plumbing and we wanted to share it with you.

Water, most of us know nothing of what’s going on behind our walls, under floors, in the roof, or outside! In our Victorian home we could smell damp in the kitchen. Two other tradies charged for doing nothing! Guy from Inner City first investigated the navigation of the water pipes. He was frank, we have to open the wall. A shocker! A slow leak in a downpipe since a cabinet was fitted 20 years prior!! It was wet inside! Guy was amazing, fixed the leak, cleared the mould and removed all the plaster. Advised leaving wall open to thoroughly dry out. I really appreciated his expert knowledge, and practical advice.
Guy is great at explaining. Recently, the shower was frustrating me; running either scalding hot or totally cold. A shocker! Thought we’d have to pull out the plumbing at great cost. Guy came along, gave me a tutorial regarding the hot water flow and how to get the water temperature just right. I really like Guy, honest, no nonsense, absolutely knows his trade. Inner City Plumbing charge by the hour. Far preferable to a huge quote for a job. Great service, expert, no-nonsense. Highly recommend.
